Izzy is a freelance arts journalist and critic. She has been published in the Guitar Foundation of America’s Soundboard magazine; the CU Independent, CU Boulder’s award-winning student newspaper; and Sharps & Flatirons, Boulder’s independent classical music blog.

At the CU Independent, she worked as the arts and culture editor for four years, reporting on diverse BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ creatives in Boulder and Denver. During her tenure as managing editor in 2022-2023, the CUI received the Society of Professional Journalist’s regional Mark of Excellence Award for the Best Independent Online Student Publication.
